PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization of the whole and improvement of serviceability of a display content, and to remove complexity of an operation. SOLUTION: A CPU 8 down-loads map data from a database 20 provided externally through a data communication device 13, a portable telephone 15 and an internet 16, stores the data in an RAM 11, and displays the stored map data on an LCD panel 2. In this case, the CPU 8 acquires position information of the own present position through a GPS reception unit 17 at the down load time of the map data, and down-loads the map data of a prescribed range centered at the present position shown by the position information. Hereby, the present position on a map screen displayed on the LCD panel 2 is always positioned at the center of the map screen. |
