PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ingress of sediment between a stress dispersion ring-shaped elastic body and a collar inner peripheral surface, when a folded angle occurres in the culvert due to ground settlement or the like. SOLUTION: A collar joint 1 can be formed, by placing a ring-shaped concrete collar 3 by turning through the whole periphery on the outer peripheral surface with a prescribed gap 4 on the outer peripheral surface of both the facing end portions 2a, 2a' of a pair of square cylindrical culverts 2, 2' to be connected and, inside this gap 4, a pair of outer side stress dispersing ring-shaped elastic bodies 5, 5', consisting of elastic bodies such as a rubber-synthetic resin or the like and inner side stress dispersing ring-shaped elastic bodies 6, 6' are interposed and inserted at a prescribed gap in the axial direction of the culvert. On the outer peripheral surface of the outer side stress dispersing ring-shaped elastic bodies 5, 5', stripes 8, 8' sticking to the outer side in the radial direction is formed in one united body over the whole periphery, and a ring-shaped gutter fitted to the sticking stripe 8 (8') is formed at the position corresponding to the sticking stripe of the inner peripheral surface of the collar 3.
