PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a high quality image by adequately removing dust stuck to an ink transferring section on a print head. SOLUTION: A cleaner 30 for cleaning the ink transferring sections of the printer heads 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d is provided to a printer 1. Each of the printer heads is supported by a head support member 11 which is moved by driving a motor 16. For example, the head support member 11 which is moved before printing so that each of the printer heads is moved to a predetermined cleaning position on the cleaner 30 by moving the head support member 11. After the cleaning by the cleaner 30 is executed and the dust stuck to the ink transferring sections is removed, the head support member 11 is moved and then each of the printer heads is disposed on a predetermined printing position, thereby performing the printing. |
