PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control dial capable of easily forming a durable scale without regard to the condition of the surface of the dial body. SOLUTION: The control dial 10 comprises a dial body 11 and a dial shaft 12 fixed to the dial body 11, and a scale 18 is formed on a tapered surface 15 of the dial body 11. The scale 18 is formed by the so-called double molding process; after the dial body 11 is molded, the scale 18 is molded integrally with the dial body 11. When the dial body 11 molded is formed from a first synthetic resin P1, through holes 20, 21, a groove 22 and a through hole 23 previously formed on the tapered surface 15 are filled with a second synthetic resin P2. The second synthetic resin P2 is a material (color) different form the first synthetic resin used for molding the dial body 11.
