PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently determine each station without measuring the distance by a surveying tape except for a base point and easily perform the field survey of a building within a lot in a short time. SOLUTION: To a ring part 6 of a first edge ruler 18 corresponding to the ring located at a certain number of count from the connecting point of both edge rulers 18 and 19, and ring part 6 of a second edge ruler 19 corresponding to the ring located at another number of count from the connecting point, both ring parts 6 of a diagonal ruler 2 having ring parts 6 at both ends of its length direction, mutually separated by the distance obtained by multiplying the square root of sum of squares of these counted numbers by a module dimension P, are concentrically connected, the direction of the second edge ruler is determined from the right-angled triangle formed by the first and second edge rulers 18 and 19 and the diagonal ruler 2, and the following station is set according to the position of an optional ring of the second edge ruler 19.
