PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser output control method to be used in an optical disk recording and reproducing device capable of recording a signal on a disk by a laser beam which is irradiated from an optical pickup. SOLUTION: In this laser output control method, the value of a recording current which is supplied to a laser element is obtained by operating a laser output control circuit 10 in an off-focusing state, the recording operation of a signal to a disk is performed by supplying the above value of the recording current to the laser element in a state in which a control operation by the laser output control circuit 10 is not performed. |
