PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flag supporting device which is safe from disengagement against strong wind and able to contribute to be burglerproof. SOLUTION: The flag supporting device 1 which supports a flag by inserting the base end of a pole 5 into the device consists of a base plate 2 which is fixed to a stricture M and a pole supporting member 3 which is freely attachably and detachably mounted at this base plate 2 and is mounted with the pole 5. While the base plate 2 has a detaining projection 22b and lower detaining part 23 which are respectively projectingly disposed at the upper part and lower part of its front surface, the pole supporting member 3 is provided with a detaining hole 33a which puts the pole supporting member 3 into the state of mounting the same to the base plate 2 by being fitted onto the detaining projection 22b and the lower detaining part 23 and a lower detaining part mounting space 34, respectively. The lower detaining part 23 is formed to a hook form.
