PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new corrosion resistance life diagnosing method for a transmission cable, a corrosion resistance life diagnosing wire and a method of manufacturing the same capable of accurately and easily diagnosing the corrosion resistance life of the transmission cable by visual observation. SOLUTION: A corrosion resistance life diagnosing wire 1 is manufactured by forming a fluorescent layer 3 on the surface of an aluminum wire 2 and coating the surface of the fluorescent layer 3 with a light shielding coating layer 4, the corrosion resistance life diagnosing wire 1 is built in as at least a part of the transmission cable, and the corrosion of the diagnosing wire 1 is diagnosed by visually observing a light emitting of an exposed part directly or indirectly when the corrosion of the coating layer 4 of the diagnosing wire 1 is corroded and the fluorescent layer 3 is exposed to the surface. Whereby accurately and easily diagnosing the life by the corrosive deterioration of the transmission cable can be made by the visual observation.
