PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely specify position relation between image information obtained from a visible light sensor and image information obtained from an infrared sensor. SOLUTION: In a photographic film image reader, visible light and infrared rays, which are emitted from a light source 31a, are irradiated on a photograph film 1 and the image of the photographic film 1 is read by the visible light sensor 33a and the infrared sensors 34a. A calibration chart 40, where a readable image is recorded by the infrared ray is constituted and it can enter and leave the arrangement position of the photograph film 1 which is the object of picture reading. A positional relation specification means for specifying the positional relation on the image of the photographic film 1 between image information obtained by the visible light sensor 33a and image information obtained by the infrared sensor 34a based on the read image by the infrared sensor 34 of the calibration chart 40 is installed.
