PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine which can delete an unnecessary file, when the capacity of an image information accumulating part storing received data is not sufficient. SOLUTION: Received data is converted into sound and text data (S102). When the capacity of image information accumulating part for storing converted data is not sufficient, a facsimile control part 6 recognizes that capacity shortage in text communication (S103) and selects whether it is informed to a user (S104). The informed user decides whether the unnecessary file is to be deleted (S105). When the file is to be deleted, the file is deleted (S106) and a processing is terminated. When the user does not delete the file, data which are previously stored are outputted in the order starting from the oldest one (S107) and the processing is terminated. When the capacity shortage is not informed to the user (S104: N), data which are previously received and stored are outputted in the order from the oldest one (S107), and the processing is terminated.
