PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To multiplex multiple MPEG picture information data by relatively easily prepared means so that they can be surely reproduced on the reception side and also perform 8B/10B conversion to transmit them. SOLUTION: Individual prescribed period divisions of the multiple MPEG picture information data are written in multiple memory means, and period divisions written in the multiple memory means are sequentially read out as 8-bit word string data, and the read plural 8-bit word string data and an additional word data group including specific word synchronizing data are synthesized to generate compound 8-bit word string data where the additional word data group is inserted at intervals of a prescribed number of words, and this data is subjected to 8 bits/10 bits conversion processing to generate compound 10-bit word string data including 10-bit word synchronizing data where running disparity is preliminarily determined as resistive on negative, and this generated data is converted to serial data and is transmitted. |
