PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject coating excellent in coating operability suitable for aluminum material, in particular excellent in washability after electrodeposition-coated and coating film appearance, and to provide an electrodeposition coating method. SOLUTION: This anion-type flat electrodeposition coating comprises (A) an acrylic resin obtained by copolymerization between (a) anα,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, (b) a hydroxy-contg.α,β-ethylenically unsaturated monomer, (c) a crosslikable functional group-bearingα,β- ethylenically unsaturated monomer and (d) anotherα,β-ethylenically unsaturated monomer, (B) an amino resin and (C) a specific silicone compound. The other objective electrodeposition coating method using the above coating is provided.
