PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for postmolding and adhering a thermoplastic sheet on a base and a system therefor. SOLUTION: The method for postmolding the thermoplastic sheet comprises the step of partly heating the sheet of a solid surface area layer material (SSL) or the like near the edge of the base at the base having a flat surface and the edge including a desired profile. In this case, the sheet is adhered to the end face of the flat surface and the edge of the base with an adhesive. A composite material formed of the adhered sheet and the base is used as a counter top, a vanity top, a bath and a shower surface materials, a furniture surface material or the like. The partial heating of the sheet can be conducted by focusing line heating, and a combination of conventional heating and heat shielding, or focusing heating and conventional heating or only the conventional heating. The part of the sheet adhered to the edge of the base is finished by sanding to improve its appearance.
