PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for adjusting a focus of an image wireless terminal are provided to obtain a high defined image quality without an electric consumption by displaying a focusing state of a camera being attached on a wireless terminal on a display unit and adjusting a focus manually by a user. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing unit(2) converts and processes an image of an object inputted through a lens(1) into an electric signal, and converts an OSD signal output from an OSD outputting unit(20) and an image received from an opponent terminal into a signal capable of being output to a display unit(7). A high band filter unit(3) detects an edge component from the image data which were converted into an electric signal. A data adder(4) adds the edge component data. A control unit(10) decides a focus state by the added value and outputs the state signal. An OSD outputting unit(20) creates and outputs an OSD signal for displaying a focus state by the state signal. A signal converting unit(30) converts the image data adapted to a wireless terminal communication standard. A lens control unit(40) makes a user adjust a focus manually by watching the focus state displayed on the display unit(7).
