PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sufficiently high-quality images by preventing generation of a pseudo outline when a form ratio of small dots is increased at an intermediate gradation range from a low graduation to a middle gradation to improve a granularity of printing images. SOLUTION: The pseudo outline detected to be generated to a region where a single kind of dots excluding a largest dot are formed to all pixels in a printing apparatus which can form two or more kinds of dots of different sizes. A dot recording ratio as a ratio whereby dots are formed is set not to be 100% for each of the dots excluding the largest dot, and whether or not to form each dot is judged on the basis of the set dot recording ratio. Since dots are prevented from being formed to all pixels by the recording ratio of 100% at the intermediate gradation region, namely, dots of a single kind are prevented from being formed to all pixels, the pseudo outline at the intermediate gradation region can be avoided and high-quality printing images can be obtained. |
