摘要 The object of the present invention is to improve the accuracy of a recording signal and a reproduction signal of a magneto-optical recording medium. In a magneto-optical recording medium (2) having at least a metallic reflection layer (3), a back dielectric layer (4), a magneto-optical recording layer (5) and a light transmitting dielectric layer (6) sequentially provided on a substrate (8), the thickness of the light transmitting dielectric layer (6) closer to a convergent lens (1) is set at 50 to 80 nm. Alternatively, the refraction index n of the light transmitting dielectric layer (6) is selected to satisfy the relationship of n0x0.8<=n with the refraction index n0 of the convergent lens (1).
