PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated building material high in decorative property, durable, having stain resistance, excellent in thermal resistance and good in durability. SOLUTION: The coated building material has a base plate 5, a first colored layer 1 which is composed of an alkali metal silicate undercoat layer formed on the base plate 5, a second colored layer 2 which is formed on the first colored layer 1 in the spotted form, a glossy layer 3 which is formed on the first colored layer 1 or the second colored layer 2 in the spotted form and an acrylic silicone-based surface layer 4. Slight unevenness is formed on the surface of the base plate 5. The glossy layer 3 contains mica coated with a metal oxide.
