A printer for simplified printing sheet mounting, comprising a body (1), a printing sheet (2) storing unit (3) provided in the body (1) and having an upper-face opening, a cover (4) openably mounted to the upper-face opening of the storing unit (3), printing sheets (2) stored in the storing unit (3), a sheet outlet (5) formed between the open end of the cover (4) and a storing unit wall opposite to it, a printing unit (6) provided downstream the sheet outlet (5), and a sheet cutting means (7) provided downstream the printing unit (6), the sheet cutting means (7) comprising a fixed edge (10) provided at the open end of the cover (4) downstream the printing unit (6), and a movable edge (13) provided at the portion of the body (1) facing the fixed edge (10).
