PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a peptide applicable for e.g. staining a bacterium. SOLUTION: The peptide capable of specifically binding to a flagellum is obtained by isolating a phage by (1) preparing a phage library consisting of phages displaying arbitrary peptides on their surface, (2) immobilizing a flagellum onto a solid phase, treating the obtained specimen with a blocking agent, followed by washing the obtained specimen, (3) releasing the phage from the solid phase to grow, and (4) selecting a phage displaying a peptide specifically binding the flagellum among the grown phages, wherein the blocking agent is a digest of a low-molecular protein, wherein the flagella is immobilized to the solid phase as a polymer, wherein the phage is released from the solid phase with an eluate containing flagella. |
