<p>Glazing, esp. of roofs, sheds, workshops etc. comprising sheets of glass or plastics with V shaped grooves cut into one face to produce prismatic internal reflection without loss of transmitted light with the object of overcoming glare, whereby the lateral walls of the V grooves are made opaque or diffusing by coating them with a light absorbent layer without coating the plane parallel parts between the grooves. The effect is produced pref. by means of a paste which attacks the silicate of the glass and which is subsequently removed. The surfaces have their polish removed to a sufficient extent so that glare is reduced while a sufficient extent so that glare is reduced while permitting light transmission of low angle of incidence.</p> |
