PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant air filter in which the joining faces of a filter element and an outer frame are well sealed with high adhesion strength, a method for producing such an air filter, and an adhesive for the heat resistant air filter to be used for a sealing agent of the air filter. SOLUTION: A heat resistant air filter is composed of a filter element 1 and an outer frame 2 bonded to each other by a melted solidified body of a glass powder. An adhesive for a heat resistant air filter is a dispersion containing a glass powder. A method for producing the heat resistant air filter comprises steps of joining the filter element 1 and the outer frame 2 by applying the adhesive for the heat resistant air filter in the joining interface between the filter element 1 and the outer frame 2, removing the dispersant by heating, and melting and solidifying the glass powder.
