PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make limit torque easily controllable, in a belt-type one-way clutch winding an endless flat belt between a friction surface of circular section of a first rotary member and a friction surface of circular arc section of a swivel plate of a second rotary member while energizing the swivel plate by a plate spring in a direction swiveled so as to apply tension to one span of the belt to give first tension to it by this plate. SOLUTION: A sleeve-shaped auxiliary friction member 31 comprising a dry bearing member is used, this auxiliary friction member 31, externally fitted capable of sliding on a friction surface 1a of a first rotary member 1 relating to this friction surface 1a, is interposed between the friction surface 1a and a flat belt 4.
