PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which can evenly maintain the quantities of oil returned to a plurality of compressors, when the compressors are operated at the same time or individually. SOLUTION: The plural compressors of an air conditioner are composed of first, second, and third compressors 1a, 1b, and 1c and first, second, and third oil separators 8a, 8b, and 8c are connected in parallel with each other through first, second, and third stop valves 9a, 9b, and 9c respectively, corresponding to the discharge pipes 1a1, 1b1, and 1c1 of the compressors 1a-1c. In addition, a fourth oil separator 8d is connected between the oil separators 8a-8d, connected in parallel with each other and a four-way valve 2 and the oil returning pipes 8a2, 8b2, and 8c2 of the oil separators 8a-8c are respectively connected to the suction pipes 1a2, 1b2, and 1c2 of the compressors 1a-1c via their corresponding fourth, fifth, and sixth stop valves 10a, 10c, and 10c. Moreover, the oil returning pipe 8d1 of the fourth oil separator 8d is connected to an accumulator via a seventh stop valve 11.
