PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite dielectric material which can impart a plating property to a surface of SPS without using the chromic acid etching, and a dielectric antenna using the composite dielectric material. SOLUTION: The dielectric antenna 1 includes a rectangular shape of antenna base 2, an input electrode 4, a radiating electrode 5 and a ground electrode 6. The antenna base 2 is made from a composite dielectric material that is made by mixing inorganic filler and a rubber shape of elastic body being soluble in a solvent with base resin consisting of styrene polymers having a syndiotactic structure. Surface of he composite dielectric material is roughened by a solvent such as tetrahydrofuran or chloroform having SP value of 8.8 to 10.
