<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the moving speed and direction of an object. SOLUTION: An antenna 15 radiates an unmodulated carrier, as an irradiation wave, toward an object. The antenna 15 also receives a reflected wave from the object and delivers it to a circulator 14. A reference wave generating section 17 shifts the frequency of the unmodulated carrier by a Doppler frequency fdmax and delivers the frequency shifted carrier to a mixer 19 through a filter 18. Beat component of the reference wave and the reflected wave is delivered to a frequency analyzing section 20 where the moving direction of the object is determined and the moving speed is calculated based on the frequency fb of the beat component.</p> |
