PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device employing a CRT that can completely prevent a vertical blanking line of raster from being viewed. SOLUTION: Synthesizing a 1st blanking signal generated from a pump-up waveform with a vertical synchronizing signal can generate a 2nd blanking signal whose leading edge is in matching with a leading edge of the vertical synchronizing signal and whose trailing edge is in matching with a trailing edge of the 1st blanking signal. The display device is provided with e.g. a 2nd blanking signal generating means provided with transistors TR1, TR2 or the like and the 2nd blanking signal is superimposed on a 1st electrode and/or a 2nd electrode as a blanking signal.
