PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SCPT system portable radio equipment capable of drastically reducing power consumption and realizing battery sawing even though the establishment of synchronization is not facilitated and realization of battery saving is difficult heretofore. SOLUTION: In the case of making a call from a transmitter side portable radio equipment 10 to a receiver side portable radio equipment 20, when a press-to-talk switch 14 is double-clicked, a transmitter 13 and a call signal transmission circuit 15 are activated, an intermittent reception timer 19 is brought into a continuous reception control state and a receiver 12 is set to a continuous reception mode. The call signal transmission circuit 15 transmits a call signal longer than an intermittent period of the receiver 12. A receiver 22 of the receiver side portable radio equipment 20 is active while the call signal is transmitted even when the receiver 22 is set to an intermittent reception state, the receiver 22 receives the call signal, produces a ringer tone, informs a reception monitor timer 28 about the arrival of the call signal, an intermittent reception timer 29 is brought into a continuous reception control mode, and the receiver 22 is set to the continuous reception mode. Thus, the receiver 22 can make a speech. |
