PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optionally display information received by a data broadcast in response to a request of a user. SOLUTION: An arithmetic processing unit 1 extracts category dependent information from data received from data broadcast, selects and displays the category dependent information when the category of the category dependent information is set to a request category list. Furthermore, a data display device 8 that displays the received data is provided in addition to a video image display device 6 for a TV video image and the data display device 8 displays only information meeting the individual needs of the user.
