PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install an earthquake resistant pipe having a joint part of a socket and a spigot with the earthquake resistant function underground by a pipe jacking method. SOLUTION: An earthquake resistant structure with the detachment preventive function and the expansion function is provided between the socket 12 and the spigot 14. A flange 25 is formed on an outer surface of the spigot 14 outside the socket 12, and a jacking force transmission member 28 is provided between the flange 25 and an end portion of the socket 12. The jacking force transmission member 28 can transmit the jacking force in installing the pipeline between the socket 12 and the spigot 14, and when a large force is applied between the socket 12 and the spigot 14, the jacking force transmission member is broken by this force, and the spigot 14 is allowed to enter more inward of the socket 12 on the distal side than a case where the spigot 14 transmits the jacking force.
