摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and easily manufacture a disk for a coated optical fiber whose core hole is formed with high precision. SOLUTION: The disk 1 for the coated optical fiber is composed by superposing a large number of laminated substrates 8 and being held in the laminated state with a male shape 2 and a female shape 3. The joining surface 83 of one superposed laminated plate is a flat surface, the joining surface 84 of the other superposed laminated plate is a flat surface having V grooves 85 and the core holes 9 having an equilateral triangle cross section are dividedly formed at a fixed pitch by joining these surfaces. Work for forming the V grooves on the surface of the laminated substrate is more easily executed with high precision in a shorter time compared with work for forming the core holes by drilling. Thus, the disk for the coated optical fiber whose core hole is formed with high precision in more easily manufactured in a shorter time compared with a conventional manufacturing method.
