PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press plant feet of grain culms and surely nip and convey the plant feet when the grain culms fed from a pretreating part are conveyed with a feed chain arranged along a threshing port. SOLUTION: This grain culm feeder is obtained by changing the conveying speed of the feed chain 16 arranged along the threshing port 15 corresponding to the feed rate of the grain culms and installing a plant foot pressing member 25 for pressing the plant feet of the grain culms from the upper side in close vicinity to the feed chain 16 on the outside of the feed chain 16.
