PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely perform exchanging work, cleaning work and maintenance and inspecting work for a dust collecting unit. SOLUTION: A disclosed electric dust collecting unit comprises a corona discharge part 8 which generates corona discharge to make floating fine particles in air such as smoke particles of tabacco and toner to be charged with electricity, an electrically collecting part 9 arranged on the lee side of the corona discharge part 8 and for electrically collecting the suspended fine particles charged by means of the corona discharge part 8 and a box-type frame 10 both front and back faces of which are opened and the corona discharge part 8 are provided with a plurality of needle electrodes 8a whose sharp needle points are respectively arranged toward the lee side (to turn the back on the front face opening part of the box type frame 10). |
