PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet shredder capable of properly shredding a document to be discarded regardless of thickness. SOLUTION: This paper sheet shredder is equipped with a pair of cutter rollers 3, 4 for vertically shredding the paper sheet 30 charged from a charging port 2, the spiral cutter 8 formed around a rotary shaft 10 spirally and the flat cutter 9 shredding the paper sheet 17 shredded by the cutter rollers laterally along with the sprial cutter and the flat cutter is supported on the base end side 20 thereof in a cantilevered fashion by a base 30 and energized in the direction, wherein the edge 19 thereof comes into contact with the rotary edge 11 of the spiral cutter, on the side of the edge 19 thereof.
