PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of hydraulic machinery and to reduce a cost. SOLUTION: The cross-sectional area of a vertical direction at least in a prescribed range 5a2 of a sucking-out pipe upper part 5a in an upstream side from a boundary with a dending part 5b increases as a distance from an impeller outlet becomes large, a longitudinal width of the vertical directional cross section in the prescribed range is set constant, and a lateral width of the vertical directional cross section in the bending part 5b is set larger than the longitudinal width to thereby reduce a loss in the bending part 5b as well as to reduce a civil engineering excavating quantity.
