PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer printing a paper sheet by leaving the paper sheets set in the paper feed tray beforehand as they are and just adding a paper sheet to be printed thereon. SOLUTION: A paper feed roller 7 brought in contact with a paper sheet group P1 stored in the paper feed tray 2 rotates to feed a paper sheet. While the paper sheet roller 7 is separated from the paper feed tray 2, two types of paper groups P1, P2 having different sizes are set in the paper feed tray in their stacked state and arranged in an opposed space between the paper feed tray 2 and the paper feed roller 7.
