PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device that can vary the exposure of an image picked up and recorded with a wide dynamic range desirably by a viewer. SOLUTION: The image reproducing device that outputs image data stored in an image storage section such as a built-in memory and a memory card to a monitor and a printer or the like, is provided with a visual line detector that detects the direction of a visual line of a viewer viewing an image and a touch panel so as to automatically detect a part noted by the viewer or so as to allow the viewer itself to designate an optional part in the image by using the touch panel. First the image is reproduced with a conventional dynamic range, the dynamic range is changed by changing a gradation conversion curve of a part detected by the visual line or part designated by the touch panel from the image so as to properly reproduce a white level jumped part and a black level distorted part.
