摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact high-resolution omnidirectional or panoramic screen display device which uses several cameras which have a common virtual optical center. SOLUTION: Each camera (52, 54, 56, and 58), for example, a camera 52 senses reflection from a surface 48 and faces reflection from a surface 48 in the direction of the arrow 60, in relation with respective reflecting surfaces (48, 42, 44, and 46) of a pyramid 40. Similarly, other cameras are arranged at a distance X on a straight line perpendicular to the base lines of the reflecting surface relating to the cameras on lines where the optical centers of the respective cameras pass the vertex 70 of the pyramid, so that the cameras face different reflecting surfaces of the pyramid in the direction of arrows 62, 64, and 66. (For example, the camera 54 is located on a line 72). Consequently, each camera has a common virtual optical center 90 at the intersection of reflection sight line and also has a visual field of 90 deg., so that the system as a total has a continuous visual field of 360 deg.. The cameras are arranged, having the virtual optical centers displaced from one another and distortion of a reflected screen is removed, so that a narrow blind area can be formed.
