PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner in which the dimension of the height of a box body is reduced, a blast easing having an outlet port for housing a portion of a blowing fan therein and for blowing out diffusing air is rotatably provided and the direction of airflow blown out from the outlet port can be controlled. SOLUTION: Both side surfaces of a box body of which the front side is open, is fixed to both adjacent walls at a corner of a room through fixing plates which are attached to the adjacent walls so as to have a gap between an inlet port provided at a lower rear surface and the adjacent wall surfaces. In a cooling operation, an outlet port 7 of a blast casing 8 is rendered substantially horizontal to blow out cooled air substantially in a horizontal direction, which has resulted from heat exchange of a heat exchanger 5 having substantially a recessed cross section. In a heating operation, the casing is rotated downward so as to blow out the air heated by heat exchange of the heat exchanger. |
