VARIABLE LENGTH PACKET SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable length packet switch that can revise its switch size scalably by connecting basic switches in multi-stage where a unit cell switch processing a packet in a cell level is used for the basic switch. SOLUTION: A switch input section is provided with a buffer 1 for each connection and a scheduler 2 that satisfies impartiality of packet transfer quality between buffers, and a switch output section is provided with a buffer 4 for each input port and a scheduler 5 that satisfies impartiality of packet transfer quality between the buffers.
