The tie (1) is located in the intermediate space in a double or hollow wall. It has a cable (2) with a locking element (3) on at least one end. When connected, the locking element engages with one of the walls. The cable may also be fastened to the locking element, to form a cable loop. The tie has an associated holder (4) on one of the walls, to lock with the locking element. The holder has a tubular part with preferably oval cross section and a closure for the tubular part.
