The coupling has a part to connect end sections (6,8) of a driving (2) and a driven shaft (3). It has a pretension unit with a diaphragm (17), which is fastened sealed with its ends (18,19) to flanges (9,10) on both shafts and encloses the coupling part (5) within its interior (16). The diaphragm interior is loaded with an excess pressure (P), and this generates the pretension force. The diaphragm has larger flexibility in axial than in radial direction.
