The invented circular tool (6) is made of two identical halves (11, 11'), whose parting plane passes through the axis of a tool spindle (14). The halves (11, 11') are secured by means of radial bolts (13) to an insert (12) and are axially clamped by clamping bolts (19) between a clamping sleeve (16) and a rubber-coated pressure ring (18). The clamping sleeve (16) with a clamping bolt (17), the insert (12) and the rubber-coated pressure ring (18) are mounted on the tool spindle (15) feather (15).
