<p>PURPOSE: Provided is a mixture of a magnesium intermetallic compound and a magnesium chloride, which can be used as an energy source generating heat and hydrogen by reacting the mixture and an electrolyte water solution. CONSTITUTION: The mixture of the magnesium intermetallic compound and the magnesium chloride is produced by melt-reacting magnesium particles, metal chloride such as iron chloride, nickel chloride, copper chloride, or a mixture thereof, the metal powder of the metal chloride, and a pore forming agent/reductant such as a polymer of carbon and hydrocarbon, or PVA at 600-800 deg.C for 10-40 minutes under helium or argon, wherein the magnesium particles and the metal chloride are mixed in the weight ratio of 1:0.3-1:1.</p> |
