PURPOSE: A housing engagement structure of a shading coil motor is provided to reduce the number of parts and the number of manufacturing processes by engaging the first housing with the second housing without using a nut. CONSTITUTION: The shading coil motor includes a rotor, a stator, a driving shaft integrally rotated with the rotor, and the first housing(21) and the second housing(25) which rotatably support the driving shaft to the stator(23). Through-holes(22,24) are formed on both sides of the first housing. Recesses(26) for tapping are formed on both sides of the second housing(25) which correspond to the through-holes(22,24). A female screw is formed in the recess for tapping. A tapping screw(27) is engaged with the recess(26) for tapping of the second housing(25) through the through-hole(22) of the housing.
