RUBBER COMPOSITION AND PNEUMATIC TIRE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition using silica as a reinforcing filler, having improved low heat build-up and processability, especially excellent fracture characteristics and abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: This rubber composition comprises (A) a rubber component containing >=30 wt.% of a modified conjugated diene-based polymer obtained by reacting a polymerization activity end of a conjugated diene-based polymer with an imino group-containing hydrocarbyloxysilane compound of specific structure and (B) 10-85 pts.wt. of silicic acid hydrate having 200-300 m2/g nitrogen adsorption ratio surface area (BET) and 170-270 m2/g cetyltrimethylammonium bromide adsorption specific surface area (CTAB) based on 100 pts.wt. of the rubber component.
