Amines of diphenyl oxide are prepd. by reacting diphenyl oxide and/or mono-amino diphenyl oxide with NH3 in the presence of a Ni-NiO catalyst at 150-500 degrees C under 10-1000 atmos. The prods., esp. the diamino derivs., are inter. for polymers.
