PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat plate of a chair formed in such a manner that a surface skin material infiltrating the rear surface of the sat plate is surely held and that the appearance on the rear surface side of the seat plate is improved. SOLUTION: A seat part 4 has a base plate 5 which is projectingly provided with stay ribs 8a and 8b along the inner periphery of a frame-like supporting frame 3, a cushion material 8 covering the front surface side of the base plate 5 and the surface skin material 7 covering the side outer than the stay ribs 8a and 8b of the rear surfaces of the cushion material 6 and the base plate 5. The peripheral edge of the surface skin material 7 of the seat part 4 is inserted between the rear surface of the base plate 5 and the supporting frame 3 and is concealed by the supporting frame 3. |
