PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching structure for seat back rods of a chair in which a pair of right and left seat back rods can be simply and firmly attached to the both ends of a rotating shaft provided on a support base without spreding them right and left. SOLUTION: In a chair 1, the lower ends of a pair of right and left seat back rods 23 provided with an upper seat back 24 are fixed to both the ends of a rotating shaft 8 directed right and left and rotatably provided on a support base 5 for supporting a seat and the seat back 24 can move in an inclined state on the rotating shaft 8. The lower end parts of both the seat back rods 23 are provided with fitting grooves 25 the inside surfaces and the front surfaces of which are opened. The fitting grooves 25 are fitted and fixed to plate shaped protruding parts 7 protruding forward and rearward at both ends of the rotating shaft 8.
