PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a lot of kinds of master base paper rolls corresponding to various kinds of printers by utilizing a simple structure. SOLUTION: A master base paper roll 1 is formed of a cylindrical core body 2, a continuous master base paper 3 wound in the roll shape on the core body 2 and an annular identification member 4 fitted on an inner periphery of at least one end side of the core body 2. Thus the master base paper roll 1 can be simply manufactured, and also the dimension, the fitting position and the like of the identification member 4 are varied to simply manufacture a lot of kinds of master base paper rolls 1.
