EVALUATION RESULT OUTPUT METHOD, RECORDING MEDIUM EVALUATION SYSTEM AND RECORDING MEDIUM READABLE BY COMPUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently estimate causes of defects detected by evaluating a recording medium. SOLUTION: When a magnetic tape is evaluated, a display area Pb formed by modeling the magnetic tape is outputted. Generation of the defects is discriminated by displaying the number of evaluated areas and detected defects on a display area Pa and defining a position of the display area Pb corresponding to positions of the detected defects in different display forms. When one display unit of the display area Pb corresponds to a recording area for prescribed data quantity, luminance and color of one display unit are switched based on the number of defects in the recording area. Generating states of the defects are easily grasped and the causes of the defects are efficiently estimated by displaying the defects of the display area Pb.
